Business entries are limited to (1) FREE vehicle.

Parade Entrants:

You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of us receiving your parade entry.  Entrant deadline is MIDNIGHT, JULY 2nd. You will receive an email with parking, drop-off and lineup instructions July 3rd.

Entries should be submitted via the form below and MUST include:

  • Name or Business Name

  • Email Contact

  • Category (Float, Business, Decorated Vehicle, Costumes, Classic Cars)

  • Length* (VERY IMPORTANT to ensure you have enough room in the lineup)

    • *Length and size of entries are accepted at the discretion of the Spring Grove Police Department.  SAFETY IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY!

  • Please let us know if you have live animals or loud music

The parade will begin in the area of Winn Rd. and Highview St.  Your spot in the lineup will be determined by your parade entry category and length of entry. 

Please police your area during the parade line-up and put all trash including dropped candy into trash containers.

Parade line up will be from 10:30 - 11:30am.  MAIN ST WILL CLOSE FROM BLIVIN ST TO WINN RD AT 10 AM TO TRAFFIC

If you have minor children the organization they are involved with should set up a meeting space so children are not left unattended.

PARADE ENTRY DROP Off:  Enter the Midwest Keyless parking lot from the Winn Rd entrance.  Parking is allowed in the NORTH AREA of the lot only for a limited time, any vehicles left after the start of the parade will be towed at owners expense.  

​Parade Route:  North on Winn Rd., East on Main St., North on Blivin St., and into the Horse Fair Park.

At the end of the parade, entrants will enter Horse Fair Park, take a left into the parking lot of Spring Grove Grade School and will proceed around to the front of the school.  Please park as efficiently as possible.  Once the crowd has dispersed, the parade entrants will have access to Main St.  MAIN STREET WILL NOT BE RE-OPENED UNTIL PARADE HAS OFFICIALLY ENDED PER DISCRETION OF THE SPRING GROVE POLICE DEPT.


Trophies will be awarded in the following categories: Best Business, Best Costume, Best Youth Entrant, Best Animal Entrant, Best Vehicle, Most Enthusiastic, Best Tractor, Best Salute to our Troops and Grand Prize/Best in Show.  Entrants will be judged during the parade, winners will be announced on our website and Facebook page, trophies will be available for pick up at The Spring Grove Village Hall during business hours.

Road Closures

For safety purposes the 4th of July Committee along with the Spring Grove Police Department and Spring Grove Fire Department close some streets off to public parking for the entire day of the 4th.  This ensures that police and fire vehicles can access areas as quickly and efficiently as possible.


The subdivisions of Pine Meadows, Oak Valley, Oak Valley Hills and Whitetail will be PERMIT PARKING ONLY the entire day of the 4th.  Permits can be obtained at the Spring Grove Police Department, (815) 675-2596, during normal business hours.


Main St from Winn Rd. east to Lorraine St., Blivin St. from Hatchery Park north to Wilmot Farms, East Solon from Winn Rd. to Clark Rd. and North/East streets will be NO PARKING

All roads leading to the parade route will be closed at 11:30am until the parade ends by police order



Horse Fair Park ~ $8 9am-9pm

Spring Grove Park ~ $8 6pm-9pm

Thelen Park Premier parking under the Fireworks ~ $10 Open all day

If you parked at either Horse Fair or Spring Grove park during the day you may park at Thelen Park Premier Parking for an additional $2 with your daytime parking pass.

100% of the proceeds from the parking lots fund the Fireworks Display.
